| Just reading what Matt wrote and I agree, it needs to be like the Northern shirts of old or as close to the 2007 home shirt as possible.

| As was said at the fans forum, the design pretty much isn't up to the club, it's up to Kooga.
And I reckon it might already be decided on by now.....

I disagree I thought this years was quite striking and would like to see an even more outlandish design. Sport shirts are meant to be tasteless and aren't meant to look smart.

I'm sorry but when you look at the Hull FC home shirt, it's very much the traditional colours which has vast quantities.
The clubs number one aim will be to make as much money as possible from the shirts.
They can do this by going back to the traditional Bradford Northern hooped colours.

| Soccer teams like Celtic and Newcastle Utd seem to have the same kit every year in a slightly different form, be nice if we could. Then again, we don't sell so many of them.

| Here's a thought, why not do an extra limited edition shirt each year? This could be a Retro Shirt or a design taken from another Team i.e. a Manly style shirt or a Rabbitos style shirt. We could look to other sports for designs, American Football or Baseball. The combinations are endless. Obviously this would be a Fans Shirt not a Team Shirt. It could be a way of generating some extra revenue.

I would love another Bradford Northern retro shirt to add to my collection.

| I know for a fact that manufacturers will produce a few designs (normally 3) and present them to the club, the club make the final decision out of these designs.

Which manufacturers is this and how many people would you need to make it work?
I would pay £50 for a classic Northern top.

| I can't say I'm a big fan of the 'retro' shirt idea as the main shirt. However I wasn't overly impressed with this years efforts so I hope they've come up with a better design. I hope I love both shirts so I'll buy both, but I couldn't even part with £10 for the home one yesterday.

Some manufacturers may do that, but the club pretty much admitted at the fans forum that they have minimal input on the shirt design and it's pretty much entirely down to Kooga, except for the club making sure it adheres to Super League rules.
Just because that's how other clubs and manufacturers do it, does not mean that's the same for everyone.
This info came straight from the board. You don't tend to get a better source.
