I've been dying for this thread.



I'm going to start with a hunch - Rob Burrow (unless he signed elsewhere whilst I was on holiday) - I can't see why he's not announced somewhere.

I think we'll be looking in the lower leagues/academy players who've been released/journeymen SL player bracket for the moment. Omar Khan's not made of money and we will probably be without some of the central funding IIRC.

Fielden

Fielden and murrell are two names I keep hearing linked with us.



Need to know who out off current squad are staying before we know where we need to strengthen.

Sign up who we can/who we want from our own squad, 1st team and U20's first. Then have a look where we have the biggest gaps.

Would be the types we need next year, been there done that. Murrell especially versatile.

According to the MEN we are linked with Luke Adamson from Salford.

Fielden would have to be cheap and fit for it to be a good move. I suspect if Noble makes a return in some capacity it'll be nailed on.



Murrell might be a bit tubby and past his best but he'd provide a bit of cover at LF or SO.

Wouldn't he be non fed trained? We don't have a space (provided Lulia, Purtell, Kearney, L'Estrange and Manuakafoa are signed up).

Is he an Aussie, I thought he was English?

Sign everybody off contract up first. Even the ones with lesser ability. Then plug the gaps with other signings/youngsters. Don't register Purtell yet. Sammut/Gale as halfbacks with Southernwood as backup. Stranger/Diskin/O'Brien/Windley as hookers. Need some forwards so we have Manuokafoa, Scruton, McAvoy and Joseph but I would push Langley to prop this year. Bateman/Donaldson at LF. Olbison/Whitehead/Bateman/Murphy at 2nd Row.



Buy Murrell and Fielden. Possibly Adamson who has SL experience.
