This is great stuff from Leigh, great effort from every player.

Leeds are probably in a false position mainly due to injuries, Hull KR have been unlucky with injuries, Salford got done for cheating the cap but Huddersfield are just plain rubbish.

Hudds players look like they don't have the stomach for the fight.

Leigh look superb and would be mid table in SL on that showing, no problem.

It was obvious Leigh were going to come out firing like a cup final though, win this and SL is achieved. Huddersfield players came out looking like it was a testimonial or something, hence game over after 15 minutes shocking really.

Fair play to Huddersfield for the last 20mins. Made a fight of it but left it way to late.

Congratulations to Leigh.

They learned well from last season and deserve their spot in SL.

It will be interesting to see if they can beat Batley and then set up a "decider" with Leeds.



A pity that Hudds only started playing after 55 mins, was it complacency ?

Don't Huddersfield always struggle when it comes to crunchtime/ the end of the season? The fact their in the middle eights just makes it more dangerous.

3 wins previous to this game, low intensity affairs, caught out today by leigh who were ready



when will the giants learn?! happened at salford the other week too



then again some players are off anyway next season so wont be bothered , us fans have to suffer again

I could see the RFL pushing up 2 teams in 2017.

If Toulouse put on a good showing during the year then there is no good reason why SL could not expand to 14 again with Toulouse plus 1 other.



Pure speculation but if they can pull in the crowds and get in the middle 8's why not?

This years SL teams plus Leigh and Toulouse with everyone playing each other twice and a top 6 playoffs would make a good league imo. I dont think the 8's will be abandoned yet though.
