Lets be honest, Thurston has come out of this latest round of negotiations very poorly IMO - just comes across entirely as a greedy sod. Basically unless he wanted to move to France there were no other options open to him as the ARU has stopped offering big bucks to NRL players.

I've spent plenty of time in France and like most countries the vast majority of the population don't give a fart about the squabbles of two minor sports.
