Was about to post the same thing. I'd change it so that if you want to stop the clock those player have to stay bound and pack down.

The team who have just conceded, having to kick off.

The knock-on rule needs looking at.. it causes so many arguments

40/20. A team can't get out of their own 40 metres but for some reason, if they do a good enough kick, get given fantastic field position. Whats all that about?

Not allowing a quick tap after the ball has either gone dead in goal or defused in goal. it should be up to the team that kicked it dead to ensure that their defensive line is set and ready to go. the attacking team should be rewarded for getting the ball tapped on the 20 and looking to advance the ball.

no you cant. For example, Saints V Wigan last year, Riddell deliberately kicked the ball dead over the try line from inside his own half to stop the game and get a 20m restart he did this on several occaisions disrupted the flow of the game.



If you apply the restart from where it is kicked from, if he kicks from his own 30m and it goes dead in goal, then then Saints (for example) would have a play of the ball or a scrum where the ball was kicked from, 30m out.



This encourages 40 - 20 attempts or more tactical kicking rather than a hoof down field and bollock$ to it if it goes dead we have the opposing team under pressure and we can have a breather.

The benefit of the doubt going to the attacking team when awarding tries. If the officials have any doubt as to whether a try has been scored then it shouldn't be given.
