| I work every saturday night so its a bonus for me, but obviously not for the masses. Anyone who has kids or has to travel a long way will be put off especially with it being on TV.

| Absolute disaster for me. I work Mondays and have done for the past 20 years. I now lose half the games I pay sky for and also lose out on a game I have a ticket for (Warrington on August bank holiday Monday).
Be interesting to see what the away attendance is. Every Saints fan I know who normally goes is not going, either because of kids at school tomorrow, working tonight or don't want to be out that late when they are up early for work tomorrow. Think attendances might improve when school holidays start but not expecting a strong Saints following as normal tonight.

| I think the attendances for these monday night games will be pretty poor taking into account people having work/kids going to school the next day but no doubt at some point there'll be a big announcement by the RFL that it's been a huge success because x amount of people have been watching on sky.

Who pay the real money so they're not bothered.
Before you then harp on about the fans losing out it's been that way for years as every friday night game is all about the corporate dollar and not the fans and if anyone tells you any different they're lying to you.
Look at the success of monday night football in the US or even NRL, if it's a success maybe Sky will have to throw on a few £££ to the next TV deal, I think it will be a roaring success, genuinely.

| I think viewing figures will certainly receive a boost with the Monday night fixture, there's nothing else to do on a Monday...

| I was thinking that a big game (such as tonight's) might see attendance figures suffer due to work commitments etc. But, it's not really any different to a Friday game is it?

| Yeah, I know a lot who go down the pubs then into town on fridays instead of attending. I swear if it weren't for the recession and decent ticket pricing Wire could average about 17,000 were it for the pub/armchair following; probably the same for most clubs and its definately been the NRLs biggest problem over recent years; bums on seats

what time do these people go to bed???
I can understand people not wanting to take kids, but normal working people should be able to handle getting home at 11.

| Whichever way you look at it, monday night games fail to put the to most important groups first. Fans and players.
The games should be at the weekend.
Attendances will be shocking at these games after a while.

| I can understand families with young children being put off with the Monday night games but as mentioned, saving your beer tokens and watching Friday games in pubs is often a luring proposition instead of actually going, but attendances don't seem to suffer too much with that.
If I wasn't working late tonight I would definitely have been going the game, Monday night RL is appealing to me, there are too many other distractions on Friday and Saturday nights with ale and fast loose women about.

| I love the idea, without football Monday nights are boring, get the missus to watch the soaps in bed and start the week with a bit of excitement, I live in the south and hardly ever watch the Saturday night games as no pubs around here want to show them and most of my friends have no interest to stay home to watch rather than go out!
