Having suggested this before, I think it is a good idea, it just depends who you suggest they should play? , and should they compete in any competition?

Some may remember that a 'National League Select' played against New Zealand 'A' at Hilton Park in 2003. Anyone know what the international programme was for the home nations that year aside from the GB vs NZ test series? As MHL says, a lot of the potential players may well be tied up with their respective national sides at the back end of the year.

wales got 80 put by them by an england side that didnt hit top gear the knights would have put 60 by them and they are the best celtic side and even with the anglo aussies in the side scotland and ireland wouldnt be worth playing it would be so one sided now you explain why thats the same as england/aus game much as i hate to say it international RU makes our international game look pathetic

I think you could have an England Knights v Championship XIII/England v Exiles double header maybe? Then incorporate Championship XIII v French Elite XIII into that European Championship thing they did this summer.
