I tend to agree with you about his motivations JB, but he's definitely one of the best second rows I've ever seen, and a huge media draw, so he will be a loss to the game.

I am not his biggest fan and he does come across as a self serving individual, but let's face it, he has maybe 10 to 12 years to earn a decent crust and he will do what he needs.

Mercenary and professional are not too far apart.....both do what they do for money and in the modern game, 1 club players are like hens teeth.

I suspect he will be back in France in 2017.......not sure which code but he will put bums on seats!

In 2017 I expect to see him playing RL for Sydney Roosters in the NRL or Toulouse in Super League. That way in 2017 he will get his second and maybe last chance to win a World Cup in rugby league for New Zealand.

I bet by the next world cup the game will have unearthed a new box office draw, that is what League is good at, I would like it to be a lad from Hull but know doubt he will be from the southern hemisphere.

For Toulouse to even be in Super League in 2017, they would need to enter Championship One in 2015 and win promotion to the Championship and then win promotion from the Championship to Super League at the end of the 2016 season.

IF Sonny bill returns to R.L it will be at Salford provided the Doc is still the top man and the marquee signing exemption is in place.

Okay, whilst I'm afraid to ask, I will, why should a marquee exemption rule come into play? There's basically one anyway, so long as the player is homegrown ... And that should be good enough. Rewards teams for creating super stars, means there isn't a mockery when 10/12 teams sign mediocre ageing Aussies as an exemption ...
