Surprised there are no Salford players in that list. Danny Williams came to us and played the last 6 games, scoring 8 tries, including 1 hat-trick, most of the time being on the losing side. At that rate of 1.3 tries a game, he'd score 36 in a season. Jodie Broughton scored 14 last year, making it into the top 20 try scorers of the season without a regular centre next to him.

Sam Tomkins. He just gets better and better. I feel we may need to rely on him more and more.

Mcgilvary for giants me thinks.. Would like to think he stands a good chance of being top try scorer in super league 2012.

St Helens tried it in the CCSF and failed miserably. He had an off day.

Cannot believe the odds of Robertson. He was my tip way back when the Broncos signed him. at 50/1 is an unbelievable pricea andi'll defintely be having a punt. Halls always scores tries and his performances in the 4N will give him an unbeliavble amount of confidence. The corner flag been taken out could see a lot more tries by wingers. Still think it makes it too easy.

Unfortunately the top try scorer usually comes from one of the top-scoring team. However good Robertson is, he simply won't get the number of chances to score as he would playing for a top four team. I'd be very surprised if the top try-scorer came from a club outside the top 4, with Ryan Hall being the possible exception.

2003 & 2004......have a look at the record books and see who was the top try scorer those years, what team he played for and where the team finished in the League. 2005 wasn't such a good year for him though...or the team he signed for....they nearly went down

Ryan............that's Hall not Bailey......or Tomkins....that's Sam not Joel. I think Hardaker and maybe Blanch might be up there with them.
