Gallen is your typical one dimensional NRL backrow forward - i.e. tackling machine - in that criteria he is one of the best in the NRL.



To win at origin that isn't enough - compare his performance to that of Thaiday - that is the difference, Thaiday offers attacking options that Gallen could not even contemplate.



His thuggish propensity for giving away penalties and his lack of attacking prowess stops him being top draw. The fact he get in one of the worst NSW sides in recent years suggest alack of overall quality i.e. Gallen is the best of a bad bunch.
