| Quote bewareshadows="bewareshadows"So at the moment we have a decent turn out with 2 weeks till kick off.
Would be better if it was a good turn out. I'm sure many will say 30000 is not half full but it's still twice as many as for the other 2 games.'"
30k is already over half full, as capacity at Olympic Stadium is now just over 50k. Some of the seats at the top on the ends have been removed or taped off for its future as a football ground, as the view isn't good enough. Also as they haven't put the top tier on one side on sale yet the other 3 stands facing the cameras will be pretty full already.

It took the top tier off after the Olympics to make it a manageable size for West Ham.

| Cool, so won't look to bad on Tv, they could still sell another 10,000 in the next 3 weeks.

| Considering these games are essentially friendlies I think the sales are decent. Would like to think there will be at least 20k at each of the northern games and 40k at Olympic but there is still time to go for tickets to sell. If we could sell out the northern games and get 40k at Olympic then we would be looking at a 30k average which would be brilliant and easily achievable!

| sorry mate, but the RLWC should be seen as a celebration of the game, and that's what it should be marketed as, all matches except the final should be held in small stadia, if England v NZ would have bn held in Hull in 2013 I reckon England would have gone through. Obv. the final at Old Trafford.
Also, I'd like to get rid of the posts and the 10m, 30m and the half-way lines. 4 points for a try, and 1 for the extra-point, which would be a passing play starting roughly about 5m out from the try line 20m in form touch, on which side the team wanted. Have 2 refs if possible, start the match with a pass off the floor from the middle of the 40m line of the team passing the ball. And re-starts with a play-the-ball form the 40m line of the team scored against. So there would still be a 40/20. Have our pitch at Old Trafford 88m long, with 6.5m in-goal areas. And as I said no posts. But refs should use the sin-bin more often, though there should be an option for a 5 minute sin-bin.
And the 40m line only red, not red and white.

| if the nothern tests are not near enough sell outs then I see that as a very poor effort by the fans in the heartlands!

| Meanwhile, 1,300 at Wales-Scotland in Wrexham.
That's the reality of international RL outside the big three and where the major challenge lies for the RLIF.

May as well go back to GB if we are going to exclude rest of the home nations.

I think that might depend on terms of Sport England funding.

Agreed. There was a time when the European cup was getting 5 figure attendances but that isn't happening when they wont even put it on regularly. They are not having another one after this until 2018 'because of other tournaments in the between times'.
My idea for the European cup would be to put it on every 2 years in the years between the four nations and have the euros at the start of the year to ensure it doesn't clash with the world cup. Unionball don't postpone tournaments when they have more than 4 games scheduled a year and neither do football for that matter.
