He made himself available for selection again before the sqaud was picked, tony smith simply decided not to pick him.

I've been a big fan of gleeson over the years but he didnt perform in the world cup (admittadley he was nowhere near the worst offender) and has had his worst season that i can remember. I'd say smith was right not to pick him, it might just give the kick up the a*se he needs to bring his game back up to its former level and give us some more options for centre next year.

Yeah i heard that, surely its up to Smith though to ask the player, Keith probably just didn't want to blow his own trumpet to much and take selection for granted, he was making enough noises to suggest that if the call came he would have played!

keith has blown his own trump, if he wanted to play he should have made that clear to the coach...not gone to the press and said "if you want me come and ask me"

I think both players have there strengths and weaknesses.

He scored a couple of good tries in the WC, one from stand off. I thought he played well myself

no it doesn't i was simply stating that Watmough (if playing loose forward) is a totally different type to what sinfield is!
