| Quote Donnyman="Donnyman"TWP aren't gone yet, and one thing Fax do have is some good players...Here is Argyle:-
[i“It’s been suggested to us that we could loan young players from other clubs, but we’re not here to make up the numbers and we never have been. We didn’t hire Brian McDermott as coach to do that. We also feel that it would be dangerous for us to fill our squad with other clubs' juniors, especially at a time when players might only have four days’ rest between matches.”[/i
So as it appears that the Championship isn't going to return, there could well be some very good senior lads in the Championship who could be loaned out to TWP to join the 17 TWP players not affected by the Visa issues. Fax have half a dozen don't they and they only have to play here if they have jobs. Fairbank. Tyrer, Murrell, Sharpe????'"
None of them are near SL standard and Sharp is at York now.

Has it not? Thought they had SL ambitions last set of qualifiers they contested?
You may be right in your statement but reading about Toronto's business model I think Fax or Bulls offer more right now

| This just shows how much little clout rugby league has. Remember the issues Matt Cecchin had in getting a visa. They even had to make a new job title for him to try and get one.
Other sports wouldn't have this issue.

| It’s about time both the Super league and RFL got their act together and sorted this out once and for all.
Whilst I am what most people would call a ‘flat capper’ I didn’t want foreign teams in the RFL, the league has two major problems with TWP and Catalans Dragons.
My take is as the RFL/SL accepted them happily in the good times, there should be no talk of either not been supported, the Cats should be able to play in France in front of 5,000 supporters as is their right and any team refusing to travel to play them should be expelled from the league, as the other 11 teams have a duty to travel to France the Cats home ground, to fulfil their fixture and there is no possible excuse not to do so. Whilst I don’t particularly like Bernard Guasch his comments on this are correct.
If the RFL has done it’s homework they will have known about the UK visa issue with Torontos Australasian overseas players and possible Canadian Visa issues with UK players in a state of emergency.
As again they accepted TWP into the league so it is up to the RFL and SL to come up with a solution satisfactory to the TWP.
Even if that means suspending relegation for 2020 for a TWP and allowing them to opt out of the rest of 2020. They should also supply the money to offset the TWP losses due to no RL in Canada 2020.
If they want to be ‘left field’ they could exempt TWP, re-set the points to zero and play a season with 11 teams with a top four play off and the bottom two teams relegated to allow the fast tracking of Toulouse and Ottawa to create two ‘offshore’ derbies in countries ear marked for expansion and continue the RFL’s expansion into overseas markets to stop the decline the game has seen in the last 10/15 years.
This would make for compulsive TV watching for the fans and SKY.
Whilst I would still prefer to watch the RL with UK teams I believe that we must ‘grasp’ the future the game has chosen and support the TWP in any way we can.
The RFL have ‘made our bed‘ now is the time to ‘lie in it’ for what they are convinced is for the good of the game.’

Nope the club is skint. They did have ambitions but it was more dreams than reality. Not sure what you see in Bulls to suggest they offer more than TW, they are a complete basket case. If you want a properly run club look at Fev.

With the right ownership Bradford could be a force in the game again surely?
For all the strife of recent years there must be potential to tap back into fan base given a decent team well run? I would certainly rather see them helped and in SL than a soulless franchise full of jobbers playing under a flag of convenience. Reading the latest reports of TWPs set-up they will be gone anyway.

I would love to see Bradford back in the top flight! Cracking history attracting Class players in the past, Run by a few Idiots over the last 10 or so years but would love to see them back.

The governing bodies don't come out of this looking good at all
https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/rugby-le ... ssion=true
I mean seriously what are SL and the RFL doing.
Quote The Wolfpack have experienced visa difficulties throughout their three a half year existence, with Australian prop Darcy Lussick last year refused re-entry to the country.
The club has been in regular dialogue with the Rugby Football League and Super League over the matter, after being told by the Home Office they cannot deal directly with them. '"

Strangely this mythical owner hasn't appeared during any of the numerous opportunities there have been for someone to pick them up very cheap over the last few years.......

| All of this obviously points to scrapping relegation from SL this year. Whilst as a Rovers supporter I realise we still have to prove we can stay up I just want a decision either way. Plus, if Tony gets the boys playing we might be OK regardless. It would be seen as unfair on promotion chasers if this is done to safeguard Toronto.
But, the Toronto VISA issue is of course completely different and a legal issue. I would hope that an answer can be found at the Home Office, however, the fact that the RFL official statement called the Toronto statement 'unhelpful' might mean that they are indeed going to stop any relegation this season.

With the right ownership is a massive qualifier.
What sort of help would you like Bradford given to return to SL, and when would it end? Like most clubs, without a significant amount of money being poured in each year, they’d be cannon fodder in SL. There are other reasons as well, but that isn’t too far from what we’ve been in recent years [iwith[/i an owner who pours in hundreds of thousands.
I can’t see it being a suggestion that’d go down to well with other clubs. The attractive thing about Toronto for SL clubs is that they haven’t needed a handout from SL and don’t take a slice of the Sky pie. S’all about money Ateod and, realistically, fan base is maybe the third or fourth most important factor - within the margins we see in SL.
