It's not a new idea by any stretch. Huddersfield tried it with the University last year against Leeds and Leeds have themselves done it plenty of times with Leeds Met

I think it's a particularly clever way of selling advertising. All the fans in that block having Try/NoTry signs with the name of their company on looked good on TV. It was very noticeable.

I find it hilarious that now it is seen as innovative as Wigan have done it when last year we were lambasted by the RLFans public for doing the same thing with the University.
Just goes to show that the best ideas are borrowed!

i know finforest when sponsors of widnes did somthing similar for a game against hull (where finforest also had a site). that must have been 6 years ago now |
