Having seen the game last night my opinion on Kevin Penny hasn't changed in the slightest he is still all hype for me.

yeah, just the one hat trick tonight against Saints.

IMO he's more of an athlete than a rugby league player.

He doesn't have particulary good passing, catching or tackling skills but his speed and athleticism get him noticed.

Obviously he will improve as he gets more experience but at the moment I think he is very over rated.

When did that happen? Gardner went for the corner and penny couldn't get there in time. He hardly ran over him.

I love it when you post. You highlight the crisis in the education system in Wigan.

While most opposition fans criticise Penny they would like to have him in their team.



He has got pace to burn and plenty of time to learn the game ( Chambers is too old)



So ok his head on tackling technique is never going to be very good, with his pace he can usually let some one pass and then tackle from behind or along side.



When Saints had Anthony Sullivan a few years ago he wasn't renowned for his defence but he scored some classic tries

Definitely not, I would hate to see Penny in a Huddersfield Giants shirt!



His one attribute is his finishing ability. Which he showed well last night. He is not a big, fast but poor with his hands 'athlete'-type winger as many people seem to think. His catching skills rarely let him down. He is just not big or strong enough and is very poor at reading the game both in attack and defence.

At least Penny hasn't been banned for taking drugs...

His finishing was top notch last night, brave too at times.



He also likes a cuddle, even when his team mates dont want one he jumps them and gives them a nice big smiley cuddle.
