| Quote NickyKiss="NickyKiss"We had the same near us. They're a strange bunch 'some' of the Leeds fans.
As for the Sinfield debate, I think he's got it in him to control a game from 6 for England 'if' he has the right partner alongside him and that man isn't Chase.
The ideal partner for Sinfield is Tomkins imo, a player with a supreme running game who will put doubt in the opposition mind and be allowed a free reign by Sinfield's organisational skills. We can then put another excellent attacking weapon in Hardaker at fullback and really take the game to anyone. I also wouldn't mind Widdop alongside him as he can mix his game up but Chase just isn't up to standard.'"
Agree with that. I like Chase (his sometimes sh|thouse tackling aside) but in my opinion if you have Chase in your team, to use him properly, you need to build the team around him and almost every play has to go through him.
I'd rather see Widdop given a full game at 6 and see what he can do alongside Sinfield. I also like the thought of Tomkins with his hands on the ball more often at 6 and Hardaker at 1.

| Quote knockersbumpMKII="knockersbumpMKII"But Mcbanana doesn't want his 6 to have a free reign, that's the thing. He wants absolute structure with no off the cuff play, bringing in Tomkins to 6 doesn't really change much with this rigid structure does it..'"
Theres nothing wrong with the structure england attack with it, as long as the halves take on the defence sometimes as well.
Unless you want a return to the rudderless, flat footed headless chicken attack england have always had before.
Look at the first try against australia at cardiff. It was structured play which isolated defenders, and created an overlap for hall. Australia have been scoring tries like that against us for years. Roby, sinfield and chase all combined well for that try.
I think some people on here think the halves are supposed to sh*t miracles and run rigns around the defence all the time. Not even the likes of thurston do that.

You mean like Jamie Peacock?? Might just be me but a lot of the media were saying they didn't think Sinfield should be playing 6.

Hmmmm Leeds fans commenting on Sinfield, impartial defined !!!!
Ill state this again, it's not that I think Sinfield is a bad player and is the best we have but it's not like he is anywhere near world class. If Sinfield was Australian how many caps would he have ??? Maybe 3 u21 ones ???

Eh? Not sure where you think I've said the structure we have is a particularly bad thing, my sole point was in response to someone saying Tomkins should be at 6, moving him there isn't going to change things because of the structured plan we have, in fact I'd say it weakens us.

I struggle to see the relevance ??? My point is KS isn't world class and your reply is that I'm wrong because other English halves aren't world class ???

| We posted 20 points against the Aussies in game one despite having very little of the ball or field position in the second period.
We then put 30 on Ireland in as many minutes in the second game, before cruising to victory.
I fail to see what is wrong with this current structure. Our main concern should be cutting out silly errors and penalty's in the wrong area of the field.Do that and we we won't be far away.

When did I say you were wrong?
It was you who spoke about how he wouldn't get in the australian national team so I think it's perfectly relevant to discuss which other english half backs would do, who do you think was the last english half back who was good enough to play for them?
