It's a fair shout. I've got to be honest and say that I initially thought he fell outside the "last decade" part of the thread title in terms of his first coming over, but I just checked and he debuted for Bradford in '02. Shows how crap my memory is getting

| I've already voted for Ali Lauititi over the obviously excellent Jamie Lyon for reasons of longevity and achievement between two outstanding players. Vainakolo is the only other one in with a realistic shout.
As for one-season cameos...one player who hasn't been mentioned, who nearly took his then-mediocre team with its terrible coach to Super League glory is Greg Bird. He singlehandedly took on the Catalans charge from 8th, raising his game to another level in the playoffs, and if Kevin Walters hadn't substituted him when he was absolutely destroying Leeds in the 2009 Semi-Final then Bird would have got them to Old Trafford. Have never seen a more dominating individual performance at Headingley.

| Quote Solly="Solly"Jamie Lyon wins it hands down, for Salford Kevin McGuinness, Sean Rutgerson and DJ Holdsworth as DR said Joel Moon looks to have great potential been outstanding so far.'"
It find it surpising, when some of our fans cite Holdsworth for abuse. The only stand off I'd say has contributed more in a Salford shirt, during SL era, is Steve Blakeley. You could argue Andre Dunneman, but he only played one season for Salford.
I find it hard to believe we've got Joel Moon, he's displayed some class so far, and Patten suddenly looks like a very dangerous player.
Overall, Jamie Lyon gets the nod for me. There's no doubting the impression Vainikolo made on SL, but Lyon was a much more talented and instinctive rugby player.

| I'd agree with the votes for Lyon. Clearly a step above the rest of the league.
Vainikolo was a monster and his partnership with Hape is probably one of SL's highest scoring and most feared.
Menzies, if you just look at the guys age no sensible coach would use up a quota spot. But the guy is a machine and I'm sure I speak for the majority of Bradford fans when I say it was a sad day that he left us.
Also, speaking about machine like 2nd rowers from Bradford, I'd like to nominate Glenn Morrison. If heart when playing RL was money then Morrison would be one of the richest men in the sport. He never took a backward step and had a pain threshold that I couldn't even imagine (One story says that he tore his thigh muscle off the bone and tried running it off because he thought it was a dead leg.)

| Theres plenty but getting to watch Jamie Lyon week in and week out was an honour.
Trent Robinson is a great curveball, he will get the Dragons going from strength to strength and i can see him being there for a few years to come. Thomas Leuluai hasn't got many votes but i think he has really blossomed. Vainikolo/Hape combo was immense especially with the monster of a team Bradford had back in the day.

| Lauititi. Currently in his 8th season in Super League, having won five titles and provided some surreal moments of skill that I haven't seen from another forward in 30+ years of watching the game.

Done very well in SL has the lad, despite Tony Smith's ludicrous attempts to coach/curtail the natural ability out of him and turn him into a battering ram. Thankfully, Lauitiiti didn't listen to him in the 2007 Grand Final

Given the adulation for Lyon I thought about nominating Chris Mckenna given how he bottled Lyon up in the 2005 playoff win for Leeds at Knowsley Road. A game in which Lauititi scored a fairly decent try as well.
