| Ed Farish’s statement yesterday mentioned the club are looking for an overseas coach. As it is generally the way for contracted coaches in the NRL not to leave their posts to join other clubs what are the options available to us?
[uBrian Smith[/u
Formally with: South Sydney
2011 – Finished 6th
2012 – Finished 11th
2013 – Finished 13th
[uStephen Kearney[/u
Formally with: Parramatta
2012 – Finished 14th
2013 – Finished 16th and replaced during season
[uBrian McClennan[/u
Formally with: New Zealand Warriors
2012 – Finished 14th and replaced during season
Any thoughts and other suggestions who the club could be considering?

| Non of the above for me. Sheens or Cartwright long term. Not really sure who else is available to come straight in to be honest.

Just for the record, Smith was with Easts and not Souths. In 2010 he surprisingly coached Easts to the GF, losing to Wayne Bennett's St George.
From Wiki' - [i'For the 2010 NRL season Smith took over as Roosters coach from Brad Fittler who had been sacked the previous year. At the 2010 Dally M Awards Smith was named coach of the year. The Rooseters reached the 2010 NRL Grand Final but were defeated by Wayne Bennett's St. George Illawarra Dragons. Smith also worked as an assistant coach for Steve McNamara for the English team in their 2010 Four Nations campaign.
Smith was sacked by the club with a year still remaining on his contract at the end of the 2012 NRL season, after the Roosters finished in 13th place with an 8-15-1 record[/i'

| Ed Farish said this morning that they're looking at the UK too, and one name he mentioned was Alan Hunte. He's now got the opportunity to show what he can do.
Go Huntey!!

Yes it was Sydney Roosters I've know idea why I typed that.

If I was Alan I'd be updating my CV at the prospect of another disappointing result.

| From twitter yesterday....
Wayne Gardiner @mrwayneg
Saw Salford's CEO schmoozing an active super league coach a few days ago. Be keen to see what happens next.
Keep seeing Ian Millwards name mentioned.

Could this be due to us actively pursuing one of his players?

| Better not be Millward. Hardly a name to make the RL take notice.
