If you sup with the devil use a long spoon!! Never a truer phrase to describe the dealings with Sky and the Murdoch empire!
For once though I'm in total agreement with LoyalFan's post - this immediate debacle is down to Sky but the longer term issues are a consequence of poor management decisions over the years. However what has happened is in the past - we just have to hope that Martyn Saddler in his tweet is right and there is a new owner/investor on the scene and that he/she/it brings some new ideas & a bit of dynamism to our club
I will be at Leigh - I cannot see how boycotting the game achieves anything whatsoever and as for those who've posted on Facebook that they'll stay at home and watch it on Sky as some form of protest I'm afraid that logic defates me completely.
All in all a very very sad end to a chaotic and ultimately disappointing season after showing some hope early doors.

Personally I would love to see sky trying to explain the presence of 3 empty stands but each to their own etc. |

So RCD was formed very poorly because they needed extra outside investment and that investor ended up having his business assets frozen a few years after they formed RCD? I wouldn't put that down to being badly formed, more bad luck. Have you considered that without this investors money RCD may never have had enough finance to take the project as far as they did? The bit that makes me laugh is your "we spent hundreds of thousands" comment . . I think you will find it was what the other investors in RCD spent not the club!! |

RCD was basically Salford City Reds board of directors... Who spent ridiculous amounts of money on a project going nowhere when it would have been better invested in a realistic project that would have given the club what it needed... Our own stadium. |
