I think the Godwin Signing could prove to be a win win ( Experienced Hooker , good trainer, already pally with alot of our squad , big point to prove ) .



Wakefield was Cookes last chance saloon and I think it would be too much of a risk.



Yes his talent was there for all to see , but we already have plenty of options at 6 & 13, with almost a new team + coaching set up we cannot risk such a potential disruptive influence.

Big Karl was fond of ' projects ' , maybe McRae feels he can get the best out of him not he worst.

Cooke has the talent, or at least he did. Far too disruptive off the field imo. Plus, as has been mentioned already, we have got talent in most of the spots that Cooke could fill.



Personally, I think for Salford to succeed this coming season it will be based on a team that works, bonds, and grafts together, and I feel that although Cooke has the credentials he also has the ability to break-up all those things.

[iSome club will take a chance on 'Cookie' and if it comes off they will have a very talented player on there hands.



I would love to see Paul wearing a Reds jumper but i suppose his track record will not help him becoming a Salford player now.

I think Dave was making a tongue in cheek reference to when Cooke left Hull to go to Rovers and an 'invisible signature' that he put on his Hull contract that was a joke at the time between some people.

Anyway Cooke as a player would be a good signing, hes the master of the long cut out pass and with Bomber coaching him before and obviously knowing this if you can utilise it it will give you an added extra attacking weapon.
