| OK I admit I didn't go to the game or see it on Sky, but when a qualified referee makes a point of stopping me in Aldi and making a comment about how biased silverwood was and the pressure of sky to get the right result seemed very strange to me. Even the Sts fan at Old Trafford today thought Salford were given the very short straw.

| Ok,the refs bent, but it was`nt him who missed the tackles,he did give some great passes out to create their tries though and he foolishly went to the vr when he was positive Makinson scored in the corner, you know to even things up like, come on,i was there and i thought it was a try.Silverwood was seen pleading for forgiveness from the sts players and was giving obscene gestures to the v.ref . On a serious note i do feel v.refs should be employed at every game and not just on the tv games.

totally agree VR at every match but if we look back a few years when we played Hull and 2 no trys were given by the VR and SL introduced sound to the VR after that game because of the total cock up, it just makes me wonder why we have them. If not at every game then SL is unfair but if they can not get it right when they are there then get rid. Currently Wigan, Leeds, Warrington et al have a better change of getting a VR than Salford so it makes the league unfair.

Agree totally,we have all seen refs stood no more than a yard away from a incident where a try might of been scored or not,but still go to the vr,yet in a untelevised game looks at the fourth official and his touch judges and gives his decision their and then.

| Both at the game and whilst watching the game later, I thought that Mr Silverwood's first reactions were to disallow the first Saints' try and to allow the Ashley Gibson try. I do think the Video Ref made the right decisions (sadly) but if I'm right with a Video Ref the Half Time score is 4 - 10; without a Video Ref the score is 0 - 16.
That perhaps shows the need for Video Refs at all games?

| It seems to me that Dantes Inferno is a complete tool. All he ever comes on here to do is to slag off the reds. He seems to get great pleasure in talking about all the negatives with the team. Can i just point out that i have been a reds fan for a very very long time and whilst i appreciate that everybody is entitled to there opinion it really gets under my skin when idiots like him highlight the negatives and never see the positives. Granted we have been starved of many positives over the years and it has been very very dissapointing. But i think we have started the season off with mixed fortunes and if we had the rub of the green then we would all be shouting from the roof tops what a fantastic team we are. The reality is that we are never going to be a top four side. But that dosent mean to say that that the reds are not worth there place in Super league. I like many reds fans would be more than happy with a team that gives there all and is proud to be wearing a reds shirt. I feel we are slowly getting there but like evrything in life this isnt going to happen overnight. Salford as a club have probably had more the most coaches to come and go from the very start of super leeague and though i hate to admit it the most Aussie imports who have come over here for a free ride and who have been well past there sell by date. I like many many reds fans agree that a good youth structure is a very important factor to being a more successful club. We are as i stated earlier are getting there. We do not need fools like D.I. reminding us how poor we are and slagging the team off. We need to be realistic in our expectations. And i think a Salford team that goes out and gives it a damn good go is what most Salford fans would be happy with. Please please please keep the faith.

Gerry i obviously have higher expectations than you and most of other folk on here. You are all shouting from the roof tops with a 38 - 10 defeat. I on the other hand am left fuming with how we ended up losing the game regardless of referee-ing decisions. Saints were there for the taking. So if you fail to realise by pointing out and noticing your NEGATIVES you can work on them and not make the same mistakes again. Get it. If you read the viva vievers post you recognise that i've noted the positives we can take to the next game, but by shutting out the negative certainly won't make them disappear......

A good post Gerry.
It will fall on deaf ears, in the main, as like most psychopaths, they can only see what they want to see and will swear blind against anything that does not fit their view. It's a sad fact that pleasant and informative people have ceased to use this forum because of a direct result of keyboard bell-endery. Don't forget, you can always select these goons as a 'Foe' in your account settings, and their tirade of one-tracked dribble will not be shown.
A bit like ignoring the guy who yells at the bushes from the street corner in town.
