Pay off before a game starts and it's ok, Wire have done it twice I think Hicks and Hodgson. Soon as a ball is kicked though you can't do it.

I have a gut feeling it could be Thomas Leuluai when I read the NZW clue on twitter. He pulled out of their trip to Melbourne Storm this week and he does have a connection to Harris and the ex Wigan boys. If rumours are true about two players leaving and one of them is believed to be Tim Smith, it does stack up.
Harris will obviously want to put his mark on the team and I'm sure he would prefer to go with players he knows inside out.

I suppose there is nothing stopping a club paying the player a small living allowance only this year and then making it up over the duration of the contract. |

At the start of the season we were still on the look out for an outside back, which implies we were slightly under the salary cap. Since then, Jordan Davies has been released and a bunch of players have gone out on season long loans. I guess this must mean there's quite a bit of room under the cap now. |
