| Not often I sympathize with Salford but if as stated on the radio Bradford had 14 on the a 10k fine should follow, any less and Salford should see leniency.

| The point in the game and field position . Time left in the game all count , there's a big difference Salford scored when Bradford had an extra man . A bit diffeent then chucking an extra man on when your defending your own line in the last 3 mins with a 4 point lead ???? Or am I wrong mmmmm ?!!!

| Wasn't Scruton being 'groggily led from the field' as the replacement ran on?

| Quote Adamjk="Adamjk"Watching it at the moment. Strangely, the people in the room seem to run out of questions to ask him and he brings up the issue himself!
Makes some decent points about the ludicrous proposed changes though.'"
It makes you wonder why Tony Smith felt the need to raise the topic himself in a press conference. It looks to me like Salford have done something to cheese him off. Could it be we are unsettling some of his players, chasing the same targets or perhaps it was his brother not getting the Salford job.
I can't imagine him doing what he did if his big bro was our coach and the same thing happened.

Another way of saying that would be that Bradford had a man injured, play hadn't been stopped, but Bradford decided to send the replacement on anyway.

Well I didn't make the game so I can't comment with the full facts, but if Scruton wasn't causing an obstruction or in a position to effect play then it would seem a little petty. Add to the fact that you scored from this play would suggest that we were not advantaged by Fairbank running on before Scruton was off the pitch.

| People calling for a £10k fine and saying a precedent was set with our punishment need to look at it objectively. Our fine wasn't 'setting a precedent'. We were fined according to the situation in the game when it occurred. The two incidents are completely different. Slightly extreme example, but it's like saying one person who punches someone in the face and breaks their jaw and another person who punches someone and gives them a black eye should receive the same punishment.

| I now find that it is outside of office hours and I have taken my socks off and counted 14 days since [url=http://www.therfl.co.uk/news/article/27705/salford-fined-for-rule-breachTHIS[/url
Anyone out there know whether the fine has been paid or an appeal put in ?
Anyone out there know who,if anyone,is to blame and what procedures have been put in place to prevent it happening again ?
I do find it admirable that as a follower of the game the RFL is so transparent and informative regarding matters of interest.
The good news is that the referee for this game, the 2nd victory before Sky television cameras this campaign,is the referee on Sunday.

| We all know that RFL officials and other sporting officials are always devoid from any criticism or blame. They are a bread of human being that craves authority and have a natural urge to enforce rules, discipline and preach integrity unless it involves one of their own.
Let's just move on.
