I would say beating halifax on the big stage at old trafford in playoff final and also who can forget beating wigan at home. there are many more but these are two that stand out for me

Willows memories matey.

Dancing pitchside with moments to go as we beat Halifax on the last day of the season to stay up after a miracle 2nd half of the 86-87 (off the top of my head) season.

I was talking about this to my dad the other day, for me the abiding memory is a long walk back to the car after another loss.



Going to that cup game against Warrington (the one that Hunte scored the winner about 10minutes into injury time), getting to the turnstile, for my dad to remember he had left his wallet at home and having to drive home and watch on telly.



The blue cars. Does anyone know what replaced those?



The awful feedback from the tannoy whilst the grown up's tried to alter the team lineup and subs in their programme.



Most of my abiding memories of following Salford have happened at away from The Willows though.

Sometimes feel like I've missed out being the only RL fan in the family, not having memories of my dad taking me to my first game etc (he's a RUan for his sins

).

. Utd in 99 is the only thing that surpasses that in my personal sporting favourites.

Taking my Widnes supporting mate into the shed 5/6 years ago when we leathered them by about 30.... he lasted until HT then dragged me to the AT stand to get away from the abuse

I then spent the 2nd half getting it back twice as bad by some Widnes granny!



Any wins against the 'big boys'



The defence in 05/06 and dragging opponents into touch every few minutes (or so it seemed)

I love everything about The Willows and I still get the same buzz walking through the turnstiles as I did as a 12 year old all them years ago. The only thing missing from those memories is success on the pitch. I guess having so many lows over the years makes the sporadic highs seem that much sweeter.

Do hope that they get him along to the last game as he's still my favourite forward, remember speaking to many a player of that era and they all to a man said the person they hated tackling most was Youngy as he was just solid.

Aye Youngy was magic, will no doubt be discussing him with my uncle tonight (a Welshie & about as anti RL as you'll come across!). No doubt he'll say he was never the same player once he crossed over to the 'dark side'!

Remember Youngy going to Leeds firtst and looking about as fit as Feka does now, moves to Salford and bingo shows his true worth.



Let's hope your uncle is happy when Wales beat England at Twickers this afternoon (from good Welsh stock myself).

Bobby Goulding kicking the ball through the club window when practicing his kicking pre game, when he was playing for saints,

Gibbo getting turned in the tackle, thought there were no markers so played the ball to himself, before running towards his own line,

Running on the pitch after every game, getting back to the car covered in mud,

Sitting on the hoardings by the pitch next to the dug outs,

More recently taking my son to his first game at 3 weeks old, so far 2 games 2 defeats! Hope he has better luck at the new ground!
