Whatever you think of the play offs you've got to congratulate Leeds on winning from 5th again. 4 very hard games to win including a trip to the south of France thrown in.

Champions should be league winners not a playoff competition which is boring till the semi finals.

I agree 100%. Leeds played sh*te all season and then win the GF from fifth place.

Leeds to be fair can only play to the system and it a up to everyone else to stop them. Wakefield, Catalan Wigan and Warrington all failed to do so.

Not really, totally different competition involving the top 8 teams, of which, Leeds were the best. Only the format needs changing.

The advantage that Leeds have,is, they know as a club, how to win the GF and WCC, whereas, we don't.

Warrington finished 2nd & Leeds finished 5th, I'd say Warrington played a better season than Leeds.

Throw whatever play off format you want out, chances are Leeds will still win it all. They won it from 1st and 2nd under the old format a few times and won it from 1st, 5th and 5th under this format. Its no coincidence they've only lost something like 2 playoff games in 7 years!

Every team knows the rules at the beginning though, just do what Leeds have done next year. Play cr@p all year and peak in the play offs.

Correct, play off system rewards mediocrity, hate to say it but Wigan should be champions. Finished top of the league.

Ask the players. They know how hard the playoffs are, how hard it is to win a grand final. That's why they'll finish as high as they can to get the best possible route.

If you look at the history of Rugby League in this country, for the majority of years, the champions have been decided by winning the playoffs. The 27 games in the regular season are just the qualifying round. I also think you would not have been "totally und" if you had won.
