Why the xxxx would Briers (who's body isn't going to last much longer in our game), want to WASTE the twilight year(s) of his career, at a team that's a laughing stock (currently), when he can still (hopefully) participate in major finals

Surely not, no disrespect to Widnes but I really do hope not.



Hope he finishes his career with the WIRE then helps our youngsters coming through the youth system to run the game just like he has for the last 10 years.

Quite weird that this is being taken seriously , Briers is still our most important player and in terms of the salary cap he is on peanuts due to the 10 year rule, why on earth would we let him go anywhere other than the retirement home.

Whether this is true or not should just be put to one side so that we can all marvel at the fact that Live Wired has wrote something positive about a Warrington player.



This is bigger news than Briers signing for Widnes.

I've heard we've offered him a 2 year deal so put this to bed now eh.

As for the future, ie next season, who will replace him? Myler is simply not good enough, and o' Brien is still inexperienced.
