At a guess I’d say Robert Lui. Whether the quota will allow that remains to be seen. Maybe the Roberts rumours are true and he’s off.

Brown is quotes as saying he’s giving up international rugby to focus on the off-season with Warrington. That suggests he’s going nowhere and is expecting an extension.

Failing that Audrey Roberts comes well recommended for untangling a mess and making things look much neater. Could brush out the number of errors and cut down on infringements.

I've not heard ewt but I'd have Lui in a heartbeat.

We were chasing him if the Roberts deal went pearshaped.

Lui’s okay and above average, but he’s not the mercurial halfback we need or deserve. It shows how desperate we are if that’s the best we can do. The other thing is, BMM looked even better in that Salford team and he’s not providing the goods at present so no reason to expect Lui to either.



I’d rather see Jake Trueman brought in early, with a promise of big bucks the next year if he can prove himself worthy of the role of playmaker. That’s motivation enough.

After all the talk about people needing time to get used to tactics, structures etc. bringing in another playmaker now is as damning a verdict on the current regime as I can think of.



But boy do we need someone.
