What are peoples views?



It's certainly up there, but there's two or three others that spring to mind from when I started watching



2012 Morley, Monas, Carvell, Waterhouse, Westwood, Harrison with Wood, Higham, Grix, Hill, Cooper and Solomona (?) in support.

Or perhaps the year before with L.Anderson, Clarke



1985 (?) Tamati, Jackson Boyd, Sanderson, Gregory ... help me out here guys...., but you know the one. (was Rathbone in there?)

The pack from 2011-13 is way ahead of this one.

Too early to say.



But if this lot win the big one, then they will be.

OK, let's calm down, couple of reasons



1, it's only a couple of games so far



B, let's see what happens when we lose a game, the usual pant wetters will be out and having a pop



£, this pack hasn't got Simon grix in it.

You know, one of my big regrets in life, is not getting to see solomona and Waterhouse in the same team.



I cant recall if dave made it back at the end of that season or not.

This. We have played 6 games and are still in March, and it's not really a question for the time being.

Westwood and Waterhouse in second row is a massive upgrade on our current 2 imo at present, though Nicholson is only 18, so much potential there.



Westwood, for me, is our greatest superleague forward.

You missed out Mark Roberts.

In terms of names, the 88-89 pack took some beating

Sanderson

Roberts

Gregory (didn't Bob Jackson go home that season, to make room for Davidson)

Then there was back ups like McGinty, the young Hanley.... Basil Richards.



Losing that 89CCSF was a bitter pill

Mark Roberts is a great example how the modern game has changed.



He'd be absolutely wasted in today's game, isolated on either the left or right flank - I recall most of his thrilling bursts being off short Andy Gregory passes in the centrefield - Though he'd still be an asset in the modern game, it would be such a shame having him restrained so much on the flank.



Closest modern SL player to Roberts would be Liam Farrell?

And yet we finished quite close to the drop that season?

I know.

From memory, we we led in most games that season, then, after 60odd minutes, we fell off a cliff.

Mind you, Time Square had PLENTY of regular clientele, that season. No wonder we've been known as a drinking club for years
