| Quote the flying biscuit="the flying biscuit"spot on it...I really cant remember the last time he missed a kick...he's as good as Frano Botica was for Wigan....quote
Frano Botica is probably the best kicker in league I've ever seen in the last 30 years.
When I was young I did see Whitehead and Hesford but perhaps a bit too young to remember how good they were (Hesford was awesome I'm told).
And I thought he could play rugby......

| What about McGuire and Bridge, 6 and 7 ?
Just an idea but like Sinfield, I can't see him leaving the Super League Champions to come and join a bunch of looney's running around in circles

Hesford was a great kicker and a big strong player too.
He was also the only player i've seen take a penalty kick for touch from the ground and not from his hands. set up as if it was a conversion.
He did this quite regularly and with great effect as there was less chance of him slicing it as happens occasionally when kicked out of the hands.

Fair bit of competition though.

| I should have realised that this would turn into a "which Leeds players should we sign" topic.
Personally I wouldnt sign any. Not because I don't rate them but because we did this to death with Bradford when we took Johnson, Reardon, Swann, Bridge, Parker.
I would prefer take talented ambitious experienced players who can help the youngsters get to Super League level and build the team around the youngsters who will have a great team ethic as Leeds have shown.
I would be more interested in seeing the younger players improve and given a chance with the odd player like Chris Mckenna coming in who's job it is to plug a hole where we are short of youngsters who can make the grade in those positions.
There are a lot of shirt numbers up for grabs at the end of the year and some kids would kill to pull on a warrington shirt with the numbers 6, 10, 11 or 13 on the back.

but on top of that superb Captain material.....
I feel slightly odd but I hope Latchfordwolves fan is right......'" Think you are over-stating Sinfield's ability with the boot. He has had a good start this year, but last year he was 7th on the kicking list in terms of % success, behind Deacon, Bosc, Thorman, Tickle, Richards and Brough.
He would be a big improvement on Hicks though.
Nowhere near Botica's league.
