I reckon Live Wired heard that Widnes have signed an ex-Saints scrum-half for next season and got the wrong one.

It is feasible though I guess, but I would like to think Briers would still opt for 1 year at Wire than 2 at Widnes, but I could be wrong as I don't know him nor his financial situation.



You never want to believe his day will come but we all know it will sooner or later.

I knew there was a reason I view the Warrington board excellent comedy.

Before Widnes sign any more halfbacks they need to sign an entire pack of forwards, plus a couple more for the bench. The current lot are ALL seriously sub-standard and any self respecting halfback would not want to play behind them.

Briers has signed a new 1 year deal. The club are yet to announce it.

best laugh ive had in ages..marvellous what a monday session does for ones brain....so far weve signed bateman and some aussie 2nd rower/prop..if briers was kidnapped and forced to play for widnes then who could we afford and also be good enough to play scrum half...no one springs to mind
