Salford we got a fair few songs going and the atmosphere was great. People in the south who want to sing and make noise are always welcome by us. Some cracking new material an all.
And before anyone starts to have a go (I know how threads about songs can get) please don't, It seems as though loads want to sing but others around them don't join in. The only suggestion I can make is for everyone who wants to sing stand relatively close to each other.
Not all together making a gang, that would make us look like Wigan and that's g@y. If we're all sort of together, spread out. And we join in with EVERY song. That should encourage others to join in.
We couldn't even get the atmosphere going for Saints with people walking out early. Unacceptable for me, Wire fans doing the 'Wigan walk'.

I have to be honest, I was concentrating on the poetic lyrics and didn't exactly have a tune in mind. I was trying to ensure the words were as good as I could get. And I think you would have to agree they were pretty damn good. |

Perhaps in your search for a tune, may I suggest that the piano playing antics of two comedic legends, Dawwson and Morecambe in his Andre Previn period might be your inspiration? |

I remember Morecambe and Wise doing their sketch with Mr Preview (aka Previn) very well, some of the best piano playing I have ever heard. Faultless in fact. I would be hard pressed to produce something that good. But I could try and write another 5 or 6 of the same quality and post them on here, say one a day for the next week. Especially as you liked the last one so much. |
