I am not standing up for the man here but I think he made the statement in the heat of the moment and probably regret it when he knows all the facts. I listened to his interview and he did not name the player who he alleged threw the bottle although he said something on the lines of 'we know who the player is'.



The man appears to be passionate for his club and IMO is trying to get fans on his side to retain them for the long term. By making all these noises about signing world class players it will give the Salford fans hope. He will have to deliver these top players for next season to keep the fans. He has a big task at Salford basically it will take almost a full team rebuild to get them where he wants them to be next season i.e top 4.



This incident has been blown out of proportion and must not detract from a very professional performance from the Wire this afternoon. You can only play who is in front of you but special mention to Myler, Ratch, Westwood, and Carvell had one his best games for a while. Nice to see some of the old form of M Monas.

Easy way of deflecting a dusting.

I saw it all. Monaghan scored and chucked the ball in the crowd (high, no-one died). Two Salford fans threw beer - one flicked his pint pot the other chucked a bottle. Some other gorp, the one who squared up to Westwood, did not throw anything. Much pointing and shouting ensued. Koukash watched the first half with the fans and the second in the seats. Came down when it kicked off and, to be fair, was acting peace maker before he made a div of himself on GMR. Brilliantly, he had his picture taken with the two aforementioned beer throwers, who no doubt gave him the duff info about one of our lot throwing it back.

Agreed but Monas ignited the fire without doubt. There was no need.
