he's got him on the jaw as he's reaching out cos briers stepped him, after he made contact shot past he's got hold of his collar as thats all he can connect with.
How many times have you seen penaltys given for that, the defender being wrong footed, hitting with a lazy arm.

I only saw this on the telly last night watching the BBC highlights and they didn't make much of a fuss over it on there. I do reckon it was a sending off offence, but either way, so be it. When will find out if he's been charged and the end result?

I seem to recall Ablett (who is a grub) giving Briers a lot of heavy attention in last year's grand final, and I know that doesn't condone Lee's punch on Saturday, but it might go towards explaining why he lost his rag so easily this time.

Pretty amazing what Photoshop can do really, as I'm sure I've read that Ablett had his back to Sir Lee  when he tickled him  !

I'm not sure what the rules are but this report states that the RFL can still look at video evidence even though the incident wasn't put on report. In a way I'm cool with that as it allows the RFL to review really malicious & dirty play that hasn't been picked up by the match officials, after all they can't have eyes everywhere or have X-ray vision.
I'm guessing though that he'll get brought up before the beak and will get a fine or a one match ban, reduced to not missing a game by submitting an EGP. |

For any Leeds fans reading this topic, did Kylie Leuluai pick up a ban for when he threw 3 punches at Peter Fox in the first play off game last season, while he was on the floor, for basically nothing? genuine question. i actually dont know?

Cheap shot. Pen and 10 at most. But the tackle before was high before slipping to the shoulder which was missed by the ref.
