The more significant loss was really Wigan at home. That was inches away and would have put us level on points with Wigan.

Instinct is one thing, fielding a heavily-altered team is another. The side took time to gel last night but still played well, and Harlequins didn't roll over and die, either, they worked hard to keep their loyal supporters happy, amd played some good rugby.

Enjoyed it yesterday. Bridge was my MOTM. We never got out of second gear tbh.

That was the attitude Huddersfield and Hull KR took to Saints and Leeds last year. They were both on end-of-season parties by the end of the second week of the play-offs.

It wasn't a case of accepting mediocrity merely pointing out theres no need for panic yet. Everyone seems to be treating the game as the be all and end all but it isnt.

Maybe, maybe not, but I'd say we are far more serious challengers than they were and if we did lose against St Helens, then I'd be pretty confident of winning the following week.

If fact, if i was Tony i would probably remind them that this game isn't life and death. We all know the history between the clubs and maybe knowing that will enable us to play some beautiful ree flowing rugby without the stress and panic that usually comes with it. Who knows, relieving them of that stress maybe is what we need to finally do it.

Agreed. Just saying that if we go there thinking "we can afford to get beat", then we almost certainly will. And there is a significant advantage in winning.
