My mum went tonight. Had to wait an hour to get a seat, had to wait an hour and a half for food before deciding she wanted a refund. The horrible bint behind the bar said "five minutes", but, to no avail, the food didn't arrive and she eventually gained a refund. She also said half of the stuff she wanted wasn't on the menu.



That alone will probably warn me off any potential trips there, I think I'd rather go to The Greenwood after hearing that.

It's not winning me over now.



Can't stand e service, you fail once, you've failed forever.

The only Steakhouse I will visit is Smokies in Newton-Le-Willows. The food and service is tremendous in there.

What's it like is it pricey or do they do 2-4-1 deals?

We went Friday afternoon. Food was really good but IMHP a bit pricey for a lunch/tea. If they could replicate the quality during the evening it would be reasonably priced for a meal out. Had the mixed grill and couldn't fault any of the meat.



Was tempted to try the challenge but thought sod that....£10 for 10 minutes food (wouldnt need the 15 and would sit around twiddling thumbs)!!!! Maybe if they gave you a BOGOF voucher for a subsequent visit.

Went with my family last week and wasnt impressed, I had the steak fajita and although it was ok I only had 4 strips of steak!! we also got stuck in the corner hemming in the table next to us. Whole visit was pretty poor in my opinion, wont be going back Myself!

Pub grub, what do expect? cheap ingredients served in quantity.



Go to a restaurant that charges at least £20 a head not £5 if you want a real decent meal.

Funny that as the worst food I have had was in a pricey restaurant. Good food doesnt have to be expensive...... cheap food is very very rarely Michelin quality.

Don't think price is an excuse to serve cr@p food. We can't live in a society where if you pay under £20 for a meal then you have to expect any old e.



I pay less to watch Warrington than I would if i ever wanted to watch Manchester United, does that mean Warrington are allowed to produce sub standard match day facilities?



I have never been, nor will go out of priciple. My mrs went and she said her dish was just awful, the piece of lamb she had was sub standard for the £15 pound she paid for it and asked for a refund. It sounds like even a fiver would have been over priced!



It is marketing itself as a steak house, and by all accounts the prices aint so cheap anyway.
