Not the best draw, or the best stadium. Having said that I might just have a run up there. The Schooner PH behind the stadium on the banks of the Tyne is a good place for a few pre-match beers.

Is it winnable though?

Well on paper Exeter were a better team than Gateshead

Will be massive outsiders. If they get past Gateshead it will be a better achievement than the Exeter win.



In reality, its the worst draw possible... Ideally, you want a home tie - We didn't get that.... Then after that, you would want a trip to a big(ish) league 1 or 2 side - We didn't get that.



After that, you are left with the booby prize of the trip to a fellow 'non-league' side.... No big crowd for a payday, no real glory in winning, minimal attention when you get beat (the most likely outcome).



Good luck to Town, but Gateshead are a decent side, who would probably knock over most League 2 sides at home... They will see Town as a simple stepping stone to the glory of Round 3 - You can only hope they underestimate Town and they can take advantage.

I'll take a draw and a replay. Town are doing okay with that route.

And according to the Warrington Guardian Town are on tv again against Gateshead ......BT sport 12 pm kick off on the Sunday.

wouldnt have thought this game would of been on telly...

There was a lot of media attention because Wire are the bottom club.

Perhaps BT want to milk that interest as the BBC look elsewhere.
