Why are you lot so obsessed with Phil Clarke?



Every time I visit this board I can guarantee there is at least one thread about him.



He is from Wigan, He played for Wigan, His dad played for Wigan, He won trophys with Wigan, He grew up supporting Wigan.



WOW. Hes biased towards Wigan. Shocking. I just dont see why you cant get over it?



I mean once someones said 'wow, Phil Clarke is biased towards Wigan' you'd think there wouldnt be much more else to be said about it?

It's fun, because he's so biased but is supposed to be neutral, also it is a valid way to wind up pies,



Why do pie fans feel like they need to defend him? if he's a neutral pundit then why would they care who criticises him?

Because he spouts about wigan all the time, even when they aren't playing wigan fans love him, he blows smoke up your backsides constantly...



He's not from wigan, he's from bolton, bit like saying that the tomkins are good wigan lads, they're not, they're from elsewhere, elsewhere = BAD, remember?

We've got our own on Sky in Paul Cullen, and the funniest thing about that is I imagine his blatant Warrington bias winds up the fans of his current employers far more than Phil Clarke does our head in.

Stick him on Wigan t.v then. Imo on a national broadcaster covering every team of the superleague an even balanced view of games and teams should be given by commentators. With Wigan being one of the better teams in the league they will get more positive comments but Clarke is so over the top it's ridiculous and the comment about maguire was a disgrace. Just for balance, i think Hemmings is slightly the other way, i always get the feeling that he is routing for Wigan's opposition whether that is just trying to readdress the inbalance of Clarkes comments, i'm not sure.

John Senior trying to deny the laws of physics and the possibility that "momentum" could even exist (never mind on a Rugby field) were simply the finest moments of entertainment ever offered by RLFans. Including his experiments running around his office throwing pillows in to bins.
