| Is it more than the combined sum of half of Briers' and half of Wood's wages?

| Myler will be away from Salford with Wire being his most likely destination.
Salford are on a big PR push by going public with this 'offer'. They are also putting the for sale sign up too, basically saying he will be sold if he doesn't accept the offer on the table.
Ive already heard that myler wants away to warrington. All thats left to be decided is the fee which will probably be in the region of £200k.
Salford should grab the cash and be happy.

| Leave it another season then and we'll get him for nowt. There's no way he would stay at a dead-beat club like Salford.

that was good enough to beat you this season... no need for that, the topic is about myler and not about your opinions on salford

He's under 24 so there would still be a transfer fee involved even though he is out of contract under the Bosman rule.

| I hope he stays at Salford over a taking a big money move to Warrington, Saints or Wigan.
His development is coming along nicely at Salford and he has plenty if time to make a move to a bigger, more pressurised enviroment somewhere down the line.
Him signing a new deal at Salford won't do his chances of a move any harm either really as clubs will pay a transfer fee for him at anytime in the same way as they're willing to do now.

Quite. All this posturing is nonsense. Myler willl command a fee regardless of signing a new contract or not, the only benefit Salford will gain from him signing, is there will be a contract can they can hold him to. But, if a player wants away then a contract isn't much use to either party.
Is it only me me who find Salford's 'woe is me' attitude rather hypocritical? I'll bet they didn't give a shiny one when they were taking advantage of Widnes' perilous state some 18 months ago.

Here here! Don't see how they'd get any compo if he ran out of his deal as he's only ever been on pro terms at Salford i.e. not coming through academy!
I feel his destination will be Wigan, he still has a good love for Widnes (though followed coin when we where in trouble but fair play it worked out for him didn't it!). Would be an interesting on but I am sure his step dad has pushed Wigan move on him from what i've heard but you never know! Seems like Wigan, Wire & Saints all keen and no doubt if one agreed a fee then it would trigger other sides like Hull & Bulls to make a move!
