Do you even know what a 'New Town' is? Kirkby and Skelmersdale were founded by the Vikings but are 'New Towns'. I know plenty about local history and I can tell you that there was a Roman settlement at Warrington, as there was at Wigan, but Warrington is a New Town whether you like it or not. |
