For tax purposes, you can argue that a van is solely for business use - that way you'd get a bigger chunk off your tax bill. Speak your accountant first, but you also need to consider whether you want to buy it outright and have it as an asset for the business, or just lease it and claim towards the costs of hiring and running it. Mentioned the combo-type vans because we've just got a Peugeot Partner combo at work, looks the business and is dead comfortable for a van, you could easily drive it everyday if needs be.



Bear in mind that even being based at home you should still be submitting your receipts for fuel, oil, tyres, repairs etc on the car. Like I said, speak to your accountant first, they can give you a proper breakdown of the percentages.

Finally got my mountain bike back now that I have the space to store it, so I'll be mixing up between that and walking and trying to use my Ford Focus as little as possible.

I'm not interested in cars but half considering learning next year (I'll be 31 by then). If I do end up with one it'll be the most economical "gets you from A to B with minimal fuss" vehicle I can find.

I have been lucky this year and have myself a 2010 Vauxhall Exclusive Nav Insignia 2.0 160bhp Eco flex green engine, best car i have had on par with my Land Rover.



I also may have been spotted out and about on my 2010 Sky Pinarello, like Bradley Wiggins bike also dressed head to toe in Sky gear!



I sold my Kawasaki kx250f in summer due to crashing and it frightened the life out of me at Leisure Lakes MX track.



But i still have my yamaha yzf750 which is a race bike. I also use Virgin Trains alot because the company i work for we do alot a work for them. Pendolinos rock!!! i also fly internally alot round the country with BMI

Bike is a Boardman Team Carbon - superb and got me round the Outlaw Ironman race with no probs and hope it gets me round Austria next year!!

No car the other half has one which i use.I drive a work van,am currently working in Birchwood at the moment.So if you see a green Ford tipper with MJ Hultons on it thats me.At work drive all sorts of machines.



Wouldnt mind a mountian bike but woulndnt know waht kind to get.

No car as can walk to work in ten minutes. Have a Genesis Flyer road pedal bike to get to the gym and back. First ever racing bike. Single speed and its rapid. Love it!

i had a volvo 2.5 t5 until some one hit the wife on the way home from work last month, total write off, wife was fine c/o volvo side impact protection system, insurance company have given me a BMW M3 until i get settlement from 3rd parties insurance company....! i don't want to give it back.. it's rather nice, leather interior wicked stereo & rather quick off the mark!
