Powell said he’s had a hip flexor issue all week. Maybe he shouldn’t have been risked, but it’s a friendly and that gives Powell the opportunity to see how he goes. I get the feeling Kasiano will thrive in warmer, drier conditions in the summer.

Just to be clear, Kasiano was the player with the hip injury. Mikaele (the player whose aerobic fitness was being called into question) was, so far as we are aware, 'fit'.

Not sure but yeah a Red card for dissent,, it must have been pretty bad. Just don't get what he could have said seeing it was right after we scored. Hopefully just a 1 match ban so he's ready for leeds Fingers crossed.

I quite enjoyed it. Big packs have their flaws, the odd missed tackle the grain is to be expected. Outweighed by momentum and some heavy artillery for their defensive line.



One thing that concerned me early on was the defensive consistency on the right. There were times where Drinkwater, Matautia and Nicholson were all doing different things, but it seemed to improve as the game went on. That’s what these games are for though.
