| These constant digs at glory hunters makes no sense. It is obvious that a club doing well and winning trophies will attract new fans, but let's remember these fans could stick with the club for a log time to come.
I am glad that I am supporting a club that is in a position to attract Glory Hunters.
Rant over!

| Some of us remember 4,000 at the Zoo being s[ih[/iit but not caring because we just love the club and just dreaming of making Sky's fancy playoffs.
Anyone who is a real fan IMO shouldn't really give it a second thought to go see Wire play at Saints in the playoffs for the right to be 80 mins from the Grand Final.

I agree what is against "glory supporters" so what do we want 8k fans at wembley or being of a strong 35k following?
an example of supporters staying on, my dad went his 1st game in 1990 final, he enjoyed it that much 3 years after this final he had dragged most of the family into it and 4 years on, one guy going meant that 23 people had season tickets for the club. or would we rather of my dad not been allowed to go the game and all the money spent by us on tickets, coaches, food, merchandise etc to not be spent at the club and us go and support wigan where glory supporters are accepted?

| People need to start understanding there is no job description that makes you a real fan. I understand some people think going to every game makes you a true fan, some people think standing in the south stand, or banging a drum makes you a true fan.
I guess what I am saying, everybody is different with different personal circumstances. Anybody going to watch the wire, in my opinion should be classed a fan............end of!
(unless their behaviour is a bad reflection on the club, then I don't want them near)

| Think it makes perfect sense. Everybody welcome, but if you miss behave then you should be shown the door for good. That applies to long standing fans and so called glory hunters.

This is exactly right.
There is no way of defining a "true fan", I suppose that from time to time there are just people who take being one fan to a greater extreme than is usual (for example the people that attend every single game in the season, or deck their house out in primrose and blue etc).
I know a guy who followed Warrington all his life but hasn't been to a game (not even Wembley) over the past few years due to awful health. He still does all he can to follow and support the club. Nobody is going to call him "not a true fan".
As for glory supporters. I think they are a good thing. They are a sign of success that can only bring extra revenue and prestige to the club.
What I dislike about glory supporters;
A) the small minority that seem to place alcohol and fighting above rugby,
B) the way in which they (often) tend to be the quickest ones to start complaining when we don't win every single game,
C) people who make ridiculous comments after seeing one game (e.g. my next door neighbour went to Wembley and it was his first ever RL match, when he saw me the next day he had a five minute rant about the ref, WTF).

For a good few that will be the case.
The ones that pick and choose to go or not are the one's I am on about.
