Despite being done at the death, I thought that was one of our better performances this season. We carried the ball and defended with more vigour, but still seem to back off a bit too much when defending our flanks. Peter Mata'utia made good yards by running forwards rather than sideways, but I only saw him pass once during the game, with around 1 minute left. We need to bring some attacking threat to our right edge, otherwise were too easy to defend against as defences know where we'll be attacking.

In a strange way i quite enjoyed the match. It showed we were prepared to work hard and but for some questionable refereeing decisions we would’ve won. I’m loathe to criticise refs normally…but Currie sin bin? Forward passes called by the crowd. That 6 again where i felt the Hull player moved forward but would need to see it again. As for that try???

However this was a major step forward in Thewlis’s development. I thought our pack stood up to Hull’s bigger men. 2 games in a short turnaround looked too much for Widdop. Longstaff seems very strong for a lighter looking bloke.

As for issues in the camp, there is a reason that “change management” plays a big part in all areas of management. Getting people to buy in takes a while.

So, disappointed with the defeat but not downhearted.

Following on you jibed on about me being nostrodarmous and no IQ because he was in the squad for Hull last week. Now you have seemingly forgotten that, and I’m still wrong.

If he plays v Hudds I’ll be very happy to be wrong, but we’ll both be wrong…but unlike you. I don’t actually give a shiitake while you’re voicing and bouncing off the walls pal.

Was Magoulias dropped for this game or was he injured?

He warmed up as 18th man. Could have been that Powell felt that he needed some fresh legs and that Magoulias was the furthest away from being 100%?

Jace Clark was one of the best forwards anyway, perhaps it’s pack rotation.

He did have a good game for us, i think he'll stay in the squad for awhile with Hughes now out

he was ok, i was truly baffled to see him on the chase for that chip that ratch did.



I thought longstaff was a bit of a passenger yesterday, i saw someone on FB saying he had an outstanding game, i must have missed that.

Jason Clark is consistent and works his socks off. Teams need players like him

Agreed, I think if Hughes had stayed on he would have prevented that try by Hannibal Lecter .



Longstaff has a big future in the game though and he will become a dominant player in our squad.
