After last nights performance is it any wonder Leigh are loosing their fan base with rugby based on drives down the middle last night we could have played with another 2 forwards The ball was never passed along the line and the only time the wingers touched the ball was when they came inside to look for it

If we have 2 play 5 drives then kick time and time again no wonder supporters won't come and watch this negative rugby

If we have to play rugby like this week in and week out our spectators will never return

Don't be soft. I have been to and watched a lot of rugby league this year taking in all competitions, and the last two Leigh games I have been to (Shef in the cup and Fax last week) were two of the most exciting games I have seen all year. Anyone bored by those displays needs their heads testing.



BTW as a Warrington fan under Smith we have thrown the ball about a lot and regularly attempt charge downs, you wouldn't believe how many threads we get complaining about this 'exciting' brand of football. Who'd be a coach eh!

I can sort of see where people can sometimes think that is all a team do but lots of factors have to be taken into account during a game. I would say that you should just watch Fred's full game videos on LCTV and really watch what goes on with player movements and the targeting of the oppositions defence. What I will say is when a team have made a big mistake the best way to get back on track is with a basic set of six to settle down again. Sometimes it doesn't work but trying too hard to make up for the mistake by throwing caution to the wind early on in a game causes more mistakes.

One notices it has taken the author ten games to come up with this one.

go and watch York City Knights then, they throw the ball around like it's a 'hot potato', but look where they are in the table. Each team play to their strength's don't they ?

I wasn't there, didn't see the performance — but how can you focus so much on one performance? There have been so many other great matches, either because of skill or simple entertainment.



I'd say the bigger problem with getting people to watch Leigh is that we're in a town full of people that turn up (whether it's at the match or more likely the pub) with the attitude that no matter what happens, we've ALWAYS been rubbish and always will be. Regardless of evidence.

Michael I feel I have to disagree with your last statement ,I know plenty of Leythers who follow the Tean home and away , and no matter how the Team play they cheer them off at the end , as was done after last nights Game at the Don V ,these diehard fans would never rubbish the Team , and turn out every week cheering the lads on , we may have a few who are never satisfied , or always find some reason not to attend games , but some Leythers never stop Beleigh ving .

I am sure the vast majority of returning supporters would be made very welcome. I would love to say all returning supporters......but I would find it difficult to accept the bile spitters piggy backing on the back ofthe hard earned cash I have chosen to point towards the clubs coffers.
