Totally understand the responsibilities at the LSV and who directs them. Unless either side accepts that so far the whole facility is not being utilised and marketed correctly the reputation of the place will be permanantly tarnished.
Alot of damage has already been done and the excuse of the recession will be used to cover all the failings. You ask anyone what they think of the Stadium and I gaurantee they will say fantastic facility but very expensive and a rip off.Add to this the debacle with season tickets and the price of entry (especially for u16's) and people have alot to moan and groan about.
I just truly feel that both the stadium and the Centurions are in dire need of professional guidance in marketing and how the facilities can be integrated into the community in the most efficient and economical manner whilst also being appreciated by the people who use it.'"
Name a new stadium or any stadium that isn't though. |

All replies understood.
I've just had a little rant when really deep down I wished there was a specific supporters bar that served cheapish beer and was packed every game with a cracking atmosphere.
Maybe this could be achieved in time and Iam expecting a little too much too soon. Good to see the pubs/clubs/hotels have switched onto this in the area and are offering their own initiatives.
Sad to see the bar at the ground totally empty though !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LSVS needs a relaunch, LSVS needs to understand it relies on a successful Centurions to be a success.
In all my conversations with partners in LSV one underlying trend prevails, LSV do not know how to run a business and how to attract and treat its customers.
Take it away from WMBC control, get rid of the clowns running the show, devise a clear strategy and seek buy in from partners and general public.
I hate the place and it looks like the players do too.

Someone should open The Railway up again on Twist Lane.
They'd make a packet on matchdays I reckon. It's only a 5-10 min walk to the ground and it's a nice pub.

I believe they could get around this by charging a nominal entry fee - 10p instead of £2 - people may be more inclined to go in then. |
