I think if Penky played for 60 mins instead of two 10 min spells then the game would have been a lot closer. I'm glad he never came to us as Bob is a better play in my opinion.

Fantastic defensive performance, patient and powerful in attack. All around brilliance. Halifax were to hot to handle for 25 minutes, but we did handle them and put them to the sword after that.

TV Boy i can guarantee to you Penky is easily a better player than Beswick. Funny how i was only reading on here a few weeks back that Beswick is never a number 9 and now he is a better player than Penky who is the best hooker in the league imo. Fairplay to you lot tonight tho i thought you were brilliant in defence making us look absolutely clueless. Number 14 Brierley looks like a good young lad i was very impressed by him. Mcnally always scores tries against us, he always did when he was at whitehaven aswell. Well played and i will look forward to next week, revenge is a dish best served cold.

You have never heard me say that about Bob and if you are only the best for 20 out of 80 mins you might as well be on the bench. Bob for me. I have watched Penky for a few years now and if the game starts to go against him he either starts to give stupid penalties away or goes missing. Bob can rally and keeps trying thats the sign of a better player. In my opinion that is.

Duffy was brilliant until his knock and the conditions suited him, we had a few clowns asking for RB from the off but boy did we need Duffs defensive stint early doors.

RB came on and did superb, but Fax were dead by then and Ryan has the skills to take advantage.

Brilliant great escape too

I havnt heard you say it but that was the general feeling on the Leigh forum. Apparently Beswick is a loose forward every day of the week according to many on here. Trust me i have seen Bob and Penky play in the same team for several years and i would have Penky in my team ahead of Bob everday of the week. Penky carried us to the semi finals last year, something bob was and is never capable of.

Really impressed with Leigh tonight, thought it was brilliant how you hung on in there in the first 20 minutes when Fax had all the ball and all the field position, think Leigh dropped out from underneath the sticks on six occasions.



You looked a threat every time you got near the Halifax line, could've been more but for a couple of disallowed tries. Duffy was running the show before he went off and I thought that might swing the momentum back to Fax, but credit where it's due there was only one side in it in the second half, until a bit of a crazy last five minutes.



I got a few dodgy looks punching the air every time Leigh scored

denying them the failure point means we can go back top on Sunday now.
