We need to sort out our own backyard though and quick and firstly our finances, the only way this will happen now IMO is by shareholders and directors past and present doing what's right for the town and club and handing over control to a complete new management structure who are willing to take the club forward with a clear vision and genuine transparency like never before and also most importantly willing to provide vital new investment and acumen to give us a real chance to become the best we possibly can be.
We have every single ingredient required to go forward as a community focused club we just need the right commercially driven people to structure and manage the business correctly as a business to make it happen for the people of Leigh and integrate new investment with fan ownership schemes and new and increased revenue.
Yesterday made me feel justified in wanting to get involved and invest time money and effort into Leigh Centurions not many better feelings than watching those boys put in 100% for us on that pitch and get the rewards for it.
The pride I felt seeing those coaches full of leythers and big numbers in the stands and on the terrace's yesterday tells me we can TOGETHER make it work and be a big club with big ambition and a bright future if the right people are given the chance.
If an agreement can be made in the coming days and weeks then the new ship will be about to set sail with us all getting on board and heading for calmer waters.
You all know my views on the importance of the community and fans new and old so as fans (the clubs biggest asset) we need to be ready for the challenges that lie ahead.

Lets see what happens,
I know your not having a go Linda we all want the same outcome and I know your as passionate about the club as anyone and have my upmost respect for what you do personally and on behalf of LISA for the club.
You also know how much respect I have for your Steve and believe his diverse thinking and ideas are needed going forward.
If (and it is still an IF at this stage I must stress) I'm part of things going forward I will certainly champion you personally for a major role in a new structure and id love to count on your support as im sure the other guys will feel the same.

Fev would be bonkers to go FT in a PT league that has no basis for on field success counting for anything.
The RFL proposals are just that.....proposals.
In terms of Leigh I suppose the players giving 110% effort week in week out has managed to keep the off field stuff out of the limelight (which is exactly how it should be), however the club needs direction and quality leadership if it wants to move forward, I hope things are moving behind the scenes as its been a long time since people started supposedly leaving or moving positions.
Having so few people involved in running a RL club is a bad thing long term, we need a clear understanding of just where this club is heading and what path its currently on as Leigh cannot afford to be left out of any proposals.
We'd need to be a driving force in what happens to our division once the RFL restructuring commences.

So as i understand things correctly, We had an award winning community dept, we didn't commit to said community dept and parted ways.We start a brand new shiny apprentice scheme that has soooooooo much long term development potential for all involved. How long has the apprentice scheme been running for ?. If i have the wrong end of the stick and the community dept and apprentice scheme are not connected and one didn't replace the other then please forgive me as i'm not poop stirring just confused as i thought i read that the apprentice scheme was cheaper to run even though the community dept was run at no cost to the club. I would be very grateful if i could be put straight on this .

The community dept was costing the club up to AT s departure, but in March last year a proposal was put to the club for it to operate at nil cash cost from then on ,that offer was declined
As for the apprentice scheme, I assumed it was part of the new Foundation |
