Talks about Jukes needing 5-10 years under a SL coach 2 weeks ago on Radio Manchester and now he's knocking him for resigning too early, and gives him a job. Why did he give him the head coach job in the first place? 100% responsibility with DB all this nonsense, he knows it, but rarely admits it.



Nobody Wants the coaching Job, AKA I'm not paying enough. Well sod that and get Cunningham to sort this mess out with Purtill #2 - BUT GET ON WITH IT. And he's said to the players it's OK if they don't win this weekend at Batley? Pathetic. Stop moaning, stop talking negatively and start leading - carrot and stick if you have to. The Challenge Cup is a great opportunity to get some swagger back via a good win.



Because DB shows such bipolarity on a weekly basis, is he really the man for the long term at Leigh RL? Should he exit like Koukash did at Salford by the end of the year?

That seems to have been the whole turning point of getting demoted and our current situation , may not have been up to super league speed as a runner but he organised the team and we looked a far better with him than without him.



Maybe it is time for DB to go and to completely rebuild , if hes a backer then back them , if hes a business man looking for a profit to jump on the SL gravy train then it just didn't work out , but to have him sounding off and hinting at walking then im sure thats a big part of the unrest, he gave it his all but it didn't work out .

How do you completely rebuild? By my estimation the Club would have a shortfall of £500k before we even started 2019 season. Without some serious investment in 2019, could see the end of the Club.



You can't afford to go to SL get relegated and not make it back to SL the season after. Thats what the parachute payment of £500k was put in place to prevent. The bar is set very high,we are back to SL or nowt.

If its nowt its nowt, we need to be a viable club , if that means back to the drawing board then so be it , if we are relying on a backer who's blowing hot/cold and wants to cut his losses then so be it . The system is rigged and i dont blame him if he did walk , hes invested a lot , took a gamble and it didn't pay off, but relying on someone with deep pockets to appear to remain viable isn't a good long term solution.

It may not just be a case of him cutting his losses. Its all dependant on how the investments were made. He's a businessman and Leigh is his buisness.

There are a lot of posts going back quite a few years that state this Great club should never again fall into the ownership of one man, this was after the death of Arthur Thomas and the subsequent troubles that ensured financially. Now i'm not saying that the success of the club since should be taken for granted and DB has been the major contributor but now your almost in a ransom situation where if DB does one the club goes down the swanny, it won't, it will just mean that you have to cut your cloth accordingly anyone who sat in the supporters stand at Hilton Park listening to Tommy Sale talk when the Blackpool Mafia were very close to destroying the club will know it will always live on!!

Wasn't the ownership split up between a few people prior to Derek taking sole control. I remember the dummy spits and dick measurements on here and other social media between Derek and Andy which ended with Andy leaving the club.

I don't think this is a case of returning to the Hilton Park days. The Club has evolved,unfortunately as you say, above the means of one man. I agree being held to ransom is just ludicrous. Thats not to say there isn't someone out there willing to take his 56% share over.
