That does not automatically follow. Different players, different match, possibly but not necessarily a different outcome. Carney would have steamrollered your team or then may be he wouldn't have. We owe Leigh nothing anymore than we owe Wires We have played five won five, could not have done better than that. We could I suppose have won our matches by scoring more points but under Tim Sheens we have learnt many things including how to win close matches. Last year we would not have won them all.

Having played the middle eights from both sides now it is clear that the comp favours the top champ team who has momentum and has had a less physical season as opposed to SL teams who have had tough seasons and lack consistency. Looking at the fixtures Leigh coukd still stay up if Cats and Widnes slip up or could be relegated if London win all, so still all to play for. It's not over til the fat lady sings and she ain't even on stage yet!

Your argument did not apply to the cup match. Having beaten you twice this season on your own turf and now beating Widnes the simple answer might just be that we are a better team.

The argument does apply to the CC as you were playing easier games prior! Also CC was not a priority for us this year. As for the Widnes argument, we beat Hull and Wigan does that mean we could have won the CC, think not! What you can say is you have played better than us in the 8s this year as we did last year. Promotion is a great feeling enjoy and good luck for 2018.
