Not a convincing mind-set that IMO. If a person is already mulling something over then they're usually half way to making a desicion.

Whether DB goes or not, there will always be a Leigh RLFC. Personally, I find his over inflated ego and his rants on social media unprofessional and embarrassing for the club. Okay, we won't have his money but we will survive. We've done it before and will do it again. Come on, Leigh!!!!

Just hope he gets it right this time with the right appointment of coach .

Agreed. It's almost like he's trying to use his money, and the threat of taking it away, to bully us into a state of adulation.



Fact is, the club looks like a circus, and he's ultimately responsible.

If Derek was getting poor materials or service from one of the suppliers to his business he wouldn't stay at home and do nothing about it. He would act quickly to sort the problem. If Leigh fans boo the players for poor performances then so be it.

Leigh fans are an honest group and we will applaud good rugby by our own team even in defeat. What we won't stand for is lack of professionalism, effort and pride. The press release reads like it does, namely Derek taking a cheap shot at the fans for expressing their opinion.

Neil had to go, and he knows it. I didn't want the guy to lose his job but all things taken into consideration it was inevitable, it had to happen. I thank Neil for all his effort and hard work whilst at Leigh and I respect that he took the decision quickly after yesterdays' game.

I will get behind Kieron Purtill and the lads and hope that they can turn things into a big positive for themselves and the Club.

Could we not give Purtill a trial period with assistance from Mickey Higham to try to instil some passion into a team without any Leigh born players?

Well, he has a trial period with Paul Anderson as assistant, until a permament appointment is made.

Not quite sure what Anderson brings to the table.. Needs a complete clear out, start fresh. (Includes KC)

Im sure the guy is heartbroken and i would like to thank him for his efforts and wish him well for the future......



but, in a results driven arena these things happen on a regular basis, and im sure he signed his contract with his eyes wide open ( like all the players we released after the MPG)



Hopefully, a bit of a kick up the @rse for the squad and what usually results after a sacking/resignation the boys will come out with a different attitude, a different game plan and blow riddy and his new mates back up the motorway with a drubbing....
